Central
Michigan Railroad picks up and delivers freight from it's southern
most point in Durand, Michigan. Cars are stored and sorted in the Canadian
National Yard. From here the freight either heads west toward
Chicago, IL. or east to Port Huron, MI. and Ontario, Canada across

be broken down, sorted and redistributed.

beautifully restored Durand train station headed toward Ann Arbor.

Amtrak pulls into the station carrying its precious cargo!
A Canadian National thunders past at 40+ MPH on it's way
west toward Chicago! Hold on to your hats!
Each year the
city of Durand hosts a railroad festival. Railroad Days always
happens the weekend after Mothers Day. It's an excellent time for
young and old alike!
